Today I can present you the next update from the gear leveler of my Homecockpit.
The Leveler was fully handmade.
Next week it will receive the correct colour to be than built into the MIP.
Today we have nearly finished the gear leveler.

Testing in the MIP (of course it will be painted black):
The video below shows the movement. We have 2 pipes. The smaller runs in the bigger one and is on the back spring loaded.
And another technical thing: The Website is now also optimized for mobile devices such as Android, iPhone, etc. Just take a look from your mobile device 🙂
Today I can give you some more details to my pedestal project.
I have ordered the following parts and their are already on the way to me. Hopefully they will arrive during next week.
The modules are: 1x WXR Panel
1x Cargo Fire Panel
2x Audio Panel
as soon as they are in my hands I can start planning “the box” around.
Furhtermore the following parts will be ordered in the near future: 1x NAV, 1x COM and Fire Panel for the pedestal. This will give me a full operational pedestal. The ADF unit will be a little bit later also the 2nd COM and NAV unit will be bought later.
Some Photos will be posted as soon I have the hardware with me.
Here is another update for the Gear Leveler
I also made some designs for the Pedestal area. So expect some news there soon. 🙂
Today we started with the gear leveler construction.
1st finished part was the main leveler. You can pull it forward and it will get pulled back automatically with the built in spring.
The 2nd parts we got were the two side panels. Between those the Lever will be mounted.
Next week we will continue the work. When its finished the lever will get painted in black.
Today I have changedmy old APU on/off switch to a real one.
See the video:
Tomorrow the Gear Leveler gets started.
Today I have added via SIOC new sounds to be played when passing:
during an approach.
I have also made a video to see how are the sounds working during an ILS approach on Runway 29 in Vienna / Austria.
During last week we started to design the missing Gear Leveler.
As soon we have a parts together I will post a photo here. I will also post the building process here on the blog again.
Stay tuned 🙂
Today my wife was fabulous and helped me with the black fabric that will cover the overhead structure.
The fabric was mounted with a velcro so it can be removed when needed to access the controller cards behind.
Thanks again my honey 🙂
Next steps will be to build the Gear Leveler and during winter maybe the throttle.
