Yesterday I attended again at the cross the pond event on Vatsim.

This years route took me from Vienna to Boston.

I also moved from SimAvionics to the Prosim Software as the software has more features and is easier to programm with all the indicators, switches, servos, etc.

Marty and Hanne doing a great job with the updates and features.

Currently I am in the phase of migrating the scripts to PROSIM.

The reason for no updates during the christmas season was, that we were on vacation.

Escaping the cold Europe – so we went on a trip to South Africa.

This weekend I have bought via Simmarket on their black friday special the Sound application “Dolby Cockpit Sounds for FS2004“. I read about it in the mycockpits forum and was fascinated about it. I have searched a long time for such a sound addon. FSPS offers a 2 day free trial, so anyone can test this before buying.

And its fabulous. A game changer in you cockpit. It allows you to to play some cockpit sounds (spoiler winds, flaps winds, gear RPM, gear wind and Brakes) on your 5.1 or 7.1 dolby soundcard. So you will actually hear the spoiler wind sound coming from you back speakers.

During the weekend from 8th and 9th October 2011 there takes the annual event place at VATSIM, called

I will be attending on Sunday and maybe on Saturday, if I have some hours available.

I received a present from my brother in law and his family for my birthday.
It’s the genius book “737 Cockpit Companion“.
I have now a great book to go deeper into the 737 systems and workflows.

Thanks a lot!

In the background I will change a computer machine. The PC controlled EICAS and the CDU. This one will be replaced with a newer and faster one. Also I will order a 8″ touchscreen to have the lower DU as well as some other nice applications visable in the cockpit during flight. But this will take a while.

I will update the hardware page once the machine is in place and running.

The reason why there where no updates during the last weeks was, that we were on vacation. We travelled to Singapore, Hong Kong, San Francisco – by car to Las vegas – , Miami and than one week relaxing in the caribbean sea @ Barbados.
As I am back now I have time to further expand my cockpit.
