System Overview

Today I have published a first version of the cockpit system overview. The PDF file will show you each of the used PCs with the attached modules to it. The file can be found under “downloads” from the menue.

Also today I have reworked the wiring for the LEDs and preperation for the taxtil fabric for the overhead was done.

On Saturday I was flying 3 legs online with a friend during the VATSIM 24hours Franfurt online night. Great feeling 🙂

During next week, hopefully, my 2 gauges for vertical speed and duct press will arrive from spain 🙂 The wiring for those is already completed.

Some sounds were added

  • A “Boarding completed” sound that will be played when all doors are closed. Before the sound starts, the blue CALL light will illuminate. With a push on the attend button on the overhead the light will go off.
  • When you push the Test button from the Cockpit Voice Recoder you will hear a wav file with some spoken cockpit phrases
  • a push on the test button from the Cockpit Voice Recorder triggers another sound file.
  • the erase button will play an erase successful message over the speakers in the cockpit

First Test Flight

Saturday, 7th August, I performed the 1st testflight from LOWW to LOWG in my Simulator. All systems where working as expected. During the approach we had to cross some heavy thunderstorms and rain. The photo shows the ND during approach.

Changed Graphic Card

Today I have change my Nvidia graphiccard for an ATI HD 5770 Eyefinity Edition. Now I can connect 3 monitors to the PC and enjoy flying with them. The Eyefinity feature only works in Windows 7.
